Racing on the Highway

Racing on the Highway (Florida Statute 316.191) – No person may drive any type of motor vehicle in any race, speed competition or contest, drag race or acceleration contest, test of physical endurance ……. This statute involves all participation including being a spectator, coordinating, facilitating or collecting monies. If convicted, the minimum penalties are a one (1) year driver license revocation, a $500.00 fine, and three (3) points being assessed against the citizen’s driver license. This is a 1st Degree Misdemeanor.
